Building Safeguards with Emotional Intelligence: Unseen Strategies to Prevent Burnout & Discontentment
Duration
About the Course
Behind every high-performing public safety team are individuals managing stress, emotion, and human complexity. Building Safeguards with Emotional Intelligence equips participants with practical tools to prevent burnout, reduce discontentment, and create emotionally safe workplaces.
Participants will explore the five pillars of emotional intelligence—self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skill—and learn how each supports effective communication, resilience, and healthy interactions under pressure. The course emphasizes the importance of responding rather than reacting, understanding emotional triggers, and promoting empathy-driven leadership.
Through real-world examples and practical exercises, participants will discover how small behavioral shifts can transform morale, trust, and overall team performance.
