About the Course

This  8-hour in-person course is designed specifically for 9-1-1 dispatchers and call takers to address the unique challenges of chronic stress in the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) environment. Participants will explore the sources and effects of chronic stress, learn practical coping mechanisms, and develop strategies to build resilience. The course emphasizes self-care techniques, mindfulness practices, and peer support strategies to help dispatchers manage stress, improve well-being, and enhance their ability to handle the demands of the job. This interactive workshop provides a safe and supportive environment for dispatchers to share experiences, learn from experts, and connect with colleagues.
