Your Instructor
Billy Barton
Billy Barton has been shooting for over 25 years, evolving from a youthful passion for firearms in Virginia's woods to a lifelong dedication to performance shooting. His training is rooted in self-defense and preparedness, with a strong belief that competition fosters excellence and practical shooting principles push the boundaries of what's possible with a gun.
Billy began seriously competing in the USPSA Carry Optics division in 2019, quickly advancing from unclassified to Master Class in under six months, and achieving Grand Master in 21 months. He also attained Grand Master in the Limited Optics division using his CO equipment and in PCC (USPSA's Rifle Division). Since then, he has focused on major match performance, securing numerous wins and podium finishes, including a 25th place overall American finish at the latest CO Nationals.
Billy has had unique opportunities to train with some of the world's best shooters and instructors, and he is passionate about sharing that knowledge. He has personally invested over 300 hours in professional shooting training and continues to seek new information annually. He is particularly grateful for significant time spent learning from world champions such as Ben Stoeger, JJ Racaza, and Eric Grauffel. From this extensive education, Barry has developed a curriculum designed to help shooters discover what works best for them, rather than focusing on specific techniques of individual champions.
