David Douglas
David A. Douglas, EdD, brings extensive experience and a deep passion to substance use disorder (SUD) education. He holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management from Capella University and a Master of Science in Family Studies from Central Washington University. As founder and owner of Event Pathways, he provides specialized SUD training to diverse audiences, including healthcare providers, first responders, and community organizations. Dr. Douglas's background includes serving as Executive Director/Founder of the Kittitas County Recovery Community Organization, where he managed all aspects of the 501c3 nonprofit, and as a Substance Use Disorder Professional at Merit Resource Services and Cascade Recovery Resource Center, providing assessments, counseling, and family program management. He also serves as a Senior Lecturer and Advisor at Central Washington University, teaching information technology and administrative management. This diverse experience gives him a unique and valuable perspective on SUD treatment and recovery, which he brings to his engaging and informative training sessions.
