About the Course

This one-hour course on the National Integrated Ballistic Information Network (NIBIN) is designed to educate law enforcement personnel on how NIBIN works and how it is used to solve crimes. The course also includes information on the NIBIN's National Correlation and Training Center (NNCTC), the importance of NIBIN submissions, and how BCI uses NIBIN to process cartridge cases. The course is based on the Ohio Attorney General's OPATA standards for CPT classwork.

Shawn Parker

Shawn Parker is a 26-year veteran of law enforcement in Ohio. He currently serves as Lieutenant with the Northeast Ohio Medical University Police Department.
He joined the NEOMED Police Department in 2016, and since thing has assisted in the development of implementation of various policies, procedures, and protocols. He has worked to establish compliance with the mandates of the Ohio Collaborative and ensure training of agency personnel to continue the extremely professional work of this organization. Additionally, he has helped to implement a part time police officer program and to oversee the newly created FTO program.
