Security Assessment for Places of Worship

Duration

1 Hour

About the Course

In the U.S., almost 58% of places of worship have less than 100 members in attendance during a regular worship service. Small congregations may not have the resources to bring in a consultant or send staff away to training in this area. This course is intended to give an officer the knowledge to perform a safety and security assessment for any religious facility in your jurisdiction. There are many vulnerabilities, besides shootings, that a place of worship may have without realizing it. This course will address certain preventative measures that can be taken to guard against shootings; it is not going to train you on how a place of worship should organize and distribute an armed security team.
