About the Course
This course introduces the Asher Model, a seven-point approach to creating a culture of wellness, transforming tragedy into hope within organizations. Students will learn about raising awareness, solution-focused approaches, peer support, building resiliency, healthy habits, spirituality, and the importance of family in fostering a supportive environment. The course aims to provide tangible tools to implement change in personal and organizational wellness programs.

Neil Gang
Chief Neil H. Gang has over 34 years in law enforcement, serving as Pinole Police Department's Chief of Police since 2014. He chairs the California Police Chiefs Association Officer Wellness and Resiliency Committee, authored the Asher Model-7 Point Approach to a Culture of Wellness, and hosts the 6th Pillar Podcast. Named Public Safety Hero of the Year in 2020, his innovative work has been featured by the IACP. A graduate of Northwestern School of Police Staff Command, he is currently pursuing a Master's degree at the University of San Diego.
