The Unseen Adversary-Stress Management and Mental Health for 9-1-1 Dispatchers

Duration

1 Hour

About the Course

Behind every emergency call is a calm, collected voice managing chaos—yet that calm often masks a growing, silent burden. The Unseen Adversary is a powerful course designed to address the chronic stress, emotional fatigue, and psychological strain that uniquely impact 9-1-1 professionals. Dispatchers will explore the hidden toll of cumulative stress, burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma—often intensified by shift work, lack of closure, and an “invisible” role within public safety. Participants will learn how stress affects the brain and body, how to recognize early warning signs, and how to implement real-time tools to reduce its impact.
