About the Course
This round table therapy-style discussion entitled “Triggers, Trauma, and Telecommunicators” aims to provide a safe and compassionate space for telecommunicators to find insight, peace, and spiritual wellness in the aftermath of their most harrowing calls. Led by an empathetic grief coach, an ordained minister, and a seasoned dispatcher and trainer, this session will guide participants through a transformative journey towards healing and self-discovery. By intertwining psychological and spiritual approaches, this discussion seeks to address the emotional wounds that telecommunicators carry, offering solace, understanding, and a renewed sense of purpose.

Brandi Powell is a highly respected professional with a unique blend of expertise in emergency dispatch and ministerial care. With over 15 years of dispatch experience, Brandi Powell has firsthand knowledge of the demands and challenges faced by 9-1-1 dispatchers. In addition to her extensive dispatch background, Brandi Powell also possesses 12 years of ministerial experience including certification as a Law Enforcement Chaplain, bringing a deep understanding of the spiritual and emotional needs that underpin human experiences.
