Basic Report Writing in Law Enforcement

Officers must be able to articulate the reasonableness of every use of force. Use of Force Report Writing will provide officers with a greater understanding of use of force case law, allowing them to more effectively recognize the legally-significant factors present when responding to resistance. After attending this course, officers will be better prepared to document the legally-relevant factors considered by courts in assessing the reasonableness of a particular use of force. As a result, our communities will be safer, officers will better protect and serve our citizenry, and liability for our nation’s law enforcement agencies will be significantly reduced.
