Dog Encounters for Law Enforcement Officers

Duration

2 Hours

About the Course

On average, one in every three households that officers respond to will have a dog present. This course provides officers with best practices to follow when encountering dogs on the job. Some of the topics discussed are the types of aggressions dogs exhibit, problems officers face during dog encounters, and writing reports involving dogs. The course will also demonstrate tools of the trade that offer less-lethal options for dogs.
