Scenario-Based Training
Duration
1 Hour
About the Course
Training for worst-case scenarios is a critical component of any first responder’s role. However, traditional training models often become routine, repetitive, and ineffective at preparing personnel to function under real-world, high-stress conditions.
Scenario-based training is designed to prepare employees for the realities of the job before critical incidents occur. This approach incorporates the physiological stress response, state-dependent learning, implicit memory, and real-time decision-making to enhance performance under pressure. This presentation covers the foundational principles of scenario-based training, explains the science behind leveraging adrenaline during training, and provides practical guidance for implementation within the learner’s agency.
